"Write the truth," is Earnest Hemingway's advice on writing. Whenever he got stuck, he would tell himself, "Write the truest sentence that you know."
I don't know what it is, but writing advice today seems to preach the exact opposite! Modern writing advice tells you to craft dumb shit that generates clicks. They tell you to write whatever will be popular——definitely not "write the truth!"
On top of this, nobody writes with any mojo anymore!
This all ends today.
You see, for over a year I've been writing a weekly email to my audience. It covers everything from knowledge management, to learning, to writing, to marketing. Heck, it even covers illustrious adventures from my life——like the time I had to get an emergency abortion for my cat!
After each email I send out, I'm greeted with dozens of replies telling me how my email is the only thing they look forward to reading.
The crazy part is that I only spend one hour per week on each email!
So, I got to thinking...
What if, instead of spending only an hour each week, I spent an entire month putting together the very best material I can muster on knowledge management, writing, and marketing?
What if I spent the entire month putting together a physical monthly newsletter that carried forth the spirit of the classic newsletter I mentioned earlier?
What if I could give my people something they would look forward to every month——an ink-and-paper publication that spoke to their soul and upgraded their mind?
And that, my friend, is how The Scott Scheper Letter was born.
